2025 Lenten Project: SPREADING THE gospel with bikes & mics!
This Lent, St. Eugene will be again raising money to help our sister parish, Our Lady Queen of Apostles, in Nkokonjeru, Uganda. This year, we will be helping our sister parish buy bicycles for the catechists and assistant catechists, so they can travel more efficiently through the sub-parishes. There are 37 sub-parishes that are part of Our Lady Queen of Apostles. The catechists visit the parishioners that live far from the main church and help them prepare for sacraments, bring communion, and help prepare for the visits from the priest or deacon. We also will be helping them improve the sound system in the main church with new speakers and microphones. We are helping to "Spread the Gospel!"
St. Eugene has been in a twinning relationship with our sister parish since 2002 - 23 years! Please be generous in giving to this year's Lenten Project. St. Eugene is so blessed to be able to continue this relationship. Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Uganda and know that they pray for us. Checks can be made out to St. Eugene with "Lenten project" on the memo line. You can drop your donation in the houses in the Narthex, or donate online under Uganda Lenten Project.

In 2002, St Eugene began a Twinning Relationship with Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish in in Nkokonjeru, Uganda and for the past 15 years, we have assisted them with sustainable agriculture programs.
The relationship with our Sister Parish isn't just about donating money, it is about sustaining the friendships that we have made and to continue praying for each other. Please remember to pray for Our Lady Queen of Apostles family and know that they pray for us.
